From what I’ve seen, most of them are too weighed down by fear and insecurity. They’re worried that they will make a mistake or make a bad investment, and they never even give it a good, honest try. But there is a way to get past this...
To me, It’s perfectly normal to be scared, but it’s crazy to let the fear of failure stand in the way of your dreams. That is why today, I want to empower you to overcome these fears. But before I do, I want to ask you one very simple question - are you a doer or a dabbler?

Being able to control your own success is incredibly tempting because it’s so valuable. That’s one of the main reasons people dream about starting their own business. When you’re working for yourself, any amount of effort you put in is an investment in your own success.
But I’ve seen many people quit because they’re paralyzed by fear. Bound to one spot in their life because they’re so afraid of making one single mistake. Some of them didn’t even bother to take the most basic steps. I guess it’s that much more comfortable just to keep on dreaming.
Becoming a successful entrepreneur is something you have to do yourself - no one can do it for you. On your journey, life will give you plenty of obstacles, and you really don’t need to start adding some yourself. Fearing the unknown is normal, but you can’t allow it to distort your reality. And like any obstacle in life, it’s there so that you can overcome it.

Many people can’t wait to quit their 9 to 5, so they could get finally get to work on their own business. However - these two aren’t mutually exclusive! In fact, by keeping your business a side hustle, you’ll take some of the unnecessary pressure off that comes from not having a steady income. You don’t need to cash in your savings either. Simply take your time, bootstrap, and invest what you can afford - even if that’s only your time, for now.
Learn to Model Your Success
Another very important thing I want you to understand - the unknown isn’t what it used to be. So there’s really not a rational excuse to be so afraid of failing if there are so many people you can learn from. All you have to do is model their success.
When I was getting started, I didn’t have anything - no courses I could turn to, no masterclasses… Not even an eBook. It was so frustrating because I had to gain my expertise the hard way, through trial and error. Learning by doing, making mistakes and then doing some more. But you don’t have to. That’s precisely why I’m sharing all of this - one rocky road to success should be more than enough.
Connect With Others Who Are On the Same Journey
The best way to jump-start your success is to surround yourself with people from the credit repair industry. People who understand what you’re going through and share your interests. You can even reach out to those who are starting businesses in other industries. The point is, by surrounding yourself with people who have a similar mindset, you’re going to improve a lot quicker, you’ll always have someone to talk to, and you’re never going to be off track.

All you need to do is take that first step. These tips are just there to guide you along the way. So remember - start slow, learn from other people’s mistakes, connect with those who are in the same boat, and keep at it every single day.

I see so many people who dream of starting a business and talk about starting a business, but they never do anything. They just make up excuses. They're afraid they might make some mistakes, they're afraid of the unknown, and then they never go anywhere. Does this sound familiar? Does it sound like you? Are you afraid to launch your business? Are you afraid that you're going to make mistakes? Are you afraid to take a chance or spend money? Well, here's what I want to tell you. That kind of thinking is not only holding you back from success, but it's seriously causing damage to your future. Seth Mitchell is one of our credit repair millionaires, and he spoke at our last credit repair expo and his story is amazing.
01:33 He grew up poor. His father was in prison, his mother worked two or three jobs to make ends meet. So he had no money and everything going against him and so many obstacles in his way. And yet he managed to create a credit repair business that now makes millions. And that got me thinking about how many people I talked to that don't move forward in their business or in life because they put obstacles in their own way. Now, I talked to somebody yesterday who hadn't gotten very far in launching his business because he was worried about so many things. He was worried about spending money or doing something wrong. I mean, I get that, but to not progress and move forward because of that reason is crazy. So I asked him, I said, so what is your revenue as of today? And his answer, of course, was zero.
02:35 And so - there you go. As Andre Coakley says, "The best way to start is to start." And this reminds me so much of what the Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu once said, he said, a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step and I love that quote and I like to believe that Lao Tzu is talking about bootstrapping a new business because the easy way to bootstrap a new business is exactly that. You just take the first step, then you take another, then you take another. It doesn't matter how slow you go or how little money you have, you just need to keep the momentum going. You can't plan for everything that's going to happen and you can't expect to know everything before you even begin, but not taking that first step because you're unsure of what's going to happen - that's what's crazy. Because you've got nothing to lose.

What they all have in common is that they all committed to taking that first step. They weren't all successful at the start. No, they all made a lot of mistakes, but they learned and they got better as they went along. And it's so much easier to bootstrap a business these days because you don't have to learn by trial and error like I did. Now you can learn by modeling exactly what the most successful people are doing, and that's the greatest shortcut to success. So there is no sense worrying about all the obstacles that you're going to face even before you start. So don't put any unnecessary obstacles in your way. Go all in. Take the first step and then the next and then the next.
04:39 See, here's why this is important. Because no one is going to do this for you. If you want to fire your boss or quit your nine-to-five job and have financial freedom, you need to start working towards your goal. If you dream of starting your own business, the best way to start is to start. So here's what you need to know. You don't have to quit your day job until you can afford to. You can start with a side hustle. You don't need to make a lot of mistakes or try 10,000 different ways to run your business and you don't have to reinvent the wheel because all you have to do is watch other people who are doing well in this industry. Connect with other people who are doing what you're doing, even if it's other business owners trying to launch other kinds of businesses that are not even related.
05:36 Just do what you can to be connecting with people who have your same mindset. You need to be around people with your same mindset. And oh, this one's so important. Get involved in our credit repair cloud community because it's one of our greatest resources and it's completely free. And then find out who is local in your area so you can get together offline. And then, this is my biggest secret. Okay? This is something I think about every day, every day. Do at least one thing to move your dream forward with all the obstacles that Seth Mitchell had to overcome throughout his life, he never would have predicted that he'd be running a business one day that's generating $1 million in revenue. But worrying about that before he even earned his first dollar in business. That would have been crazy. Remember, if you do start out with a plan, your business will change over time as you learn what works for you and as you learn what doesn't, but don't let fear of the future cripple your desire to take the first step today. And once you do take that first step, just imagine where you'll be in a year or two or more.
